What is Smile Design?

Your self-confidence is directly related to how you feel about your appearance. Smile design therapy is one of the best ways to transform your smile and boost your self-confidence. So, what exactly is a smile design treatment and how does it work?

Smile Design is a unique treatment that turns your dream smile into reality. Patients can evaluate their teeth and create a plan that ensures their perfect, ideal appearance. Initially, treatment begins with a complete assessment of your existing teeth to identify areas for improvement. After taking digital images of your teeth, your teeth are easily digitally reconstructed.

With these photos, your dentist listens to the changes you want to make to your smile, and then you can start a collaborative design process. With a fully formed idea on the screen, you can clearly see the smile you’ve always dreamed of!

Smile Design can correct a wide variety of dental problems. The steps and desired results of smile design will reflect the unique needs and personal goals of each patient. Orident takes each patient’s age, gender, and unique facial features into account when customizing the Smile design plan. No two smile design plans are the same!

Is Smile Design Permanent?

One of the issues that makes people think about the smile design is the question of whether the smile design is permanent. Although it is not correct to give a clear time for the lifespan of the smile design, it is expected that crowns and bridges will be used for an average of 10 years. In plaque and braces treatments, a plate and lingual retainer can be made to prevent the treatment from reversing later. Defects seen in regular dental check-ups are eliminated. In order to prolong the lifespan of smile design treatments, Orident dentists work with maximum details and apply the most appropriate protocols.

The duties that fall into error are to pay attention to post-treatment care and to have dental health checked every 6 months. Having your dental health checked regularly will extend the life of the treatments and make your smile design permanent. You can contact the successful dentists of Orident to get information about the price of smile design and to see what design is suitable for you.

Before&After

FAQ

Is the aesthetic filling durable?

Depending on the location and size of the aesthetic filling on the tooth, it varies according to the factors related to the care of the patient, the colored food and beverages consumed. The period of use varies between 5 and 7 years.

Will the whitened teeth go back to their original state?

It totally depends on the bone structure. In addition, in excessive consumption of foods and beverages that give color (cola, ketchup, tomato paste, etc.), it returns to its original state much faster. However, it is always one tone lighter than the color tone before bleaching.

How long does the teeth whitening process take?

The whitening process consists of two twenty-minute sessions. Total time is about one hour with dental calculus cleaning.

What are the Advantages of Porcelain Crown Application?

The application of porcelain crowns, which provides maximum durability, on teeth that have a slightly lower load-bearing capacity (especially in molars and posterior chewing teeth) compared to other teeth, ensures that these teeth can carry loads for a longer period of time.
